Dr. Wolfe has served West Michigan since 1993 and has a diverse practice encompassing many areas of orthopaedic surgery. His adult reconstructive practice includes hip, knee and shoulder replacements. He performs hip resurfacing, partial knee replacements and revision procedures. His interest in sports medicine includes knee and shoulder arthroscopy and ACL reconstructions. He has a high rate of success with return to sports from the weekend warrior to Division I collegiate athletes. His interest in upper extremity ranges from rotator cuff repair to carpal tunnel procedures. Fracture care is another area of concentration.
Dr. Wolfe is a native of Michigan, is married and the father of three boys. He and his wife met at the University of Michigan where he was an honor's student. He went to medical school at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He returned to Michigan for his residency training at Wayne State University's Detroit Medical Center and scored in the top five percentile of the nation on his specialty boards. He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and is involved in the following professional organizations: Michigan Orthopaedic Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, Ottawa County Medical Society and Michigan State Medical Society. Dr. Wolfe is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Wolfe has volunteered as a mentor in the Hope College Pre-Med Program and also volunteers his time to help with athletic physicals. Away from work he enjoys time with his family. His hobbies include travel, skiing, golf, sailing and reading.
