Dr. Kane-Smart completed her undergraduate work at Albion College and received her M.D. from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. In 1997 she completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan Hospitals, where she was named Chief Resident. After her residency, she worked at Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine Specialists in Grand Rapids before moving to Holland. Dr. Kane-Smart joined Shoreline Orthopaedics in 1999 and is our only specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is Board Certified and is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Kane-Smart is affiliated with the following organizations: American Medical Association, Ottawa County Medical Society, Michigan State Medical Society and American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Kane-Smart's interests and activities include: her family, playing volleyball, being a Girl Scout leader, an avid reader, and volunteering for Girls Dream Fair.
