Chad D. Smith, PA-C, MAE, AT-C/L, CSCS

As a physician assistant, Chad's secondary specialty is sports medicine. He graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor of science in sports medicine/athletic training, followed by a graduate athletic training position at Cumberland University, and completion of his master's degree in physical education. Chad's extensive experience includes clinical rehab specialist at Tri-Rehab (New Baltimore, Michigan), where he was responsible for the healthcare of all Anchor Bay high school athletes. He was also adjunct faculty member for the University of Detroit Mercy within the sports medicine/athletic training department, athletic trainer and substitute teacher at Mona Shores, and visiting professor in the Department of Movement Science at Grand Valley State University. Chad joined Shoreline Orthopaedics in 2010 as an orthopaedic physician assistant, after completing his second master's degree at Grand Valley State University. He furthers his work in the healthcare field of athletic training by covering sports activities at Fennvile High School.
