My Comeback Story: Amy V.

Amy V.

In September of 2024, I was busy training for my upcoming hike on the Camino de Santiago, the 500-mile pilgrimage across northern Spain. I had been training for months and was out biking when I had a bad crash. When I was told my elbow was broken, I was devastated and sure my hopes of doing the Camino were over! My appointment 2 days after my crash with Dr. Brain Paff, while not what I wanted to hear, was still very reassuring. He said my elbow would be back as good as new after the surgery and recovery period, and I would certainly be able to carry my backpack and do my Camino in the future. Dr. Paff was right! Exactly one year later, in September of 2025, I completed the Camino de Santiago, carrying my pack the entire way! Thank you, Dr. Paff, for your care and reassurance!
