About Dr. Marcolina
Dr. Austin Marcolina is board-certified in interventional pain management and physical medicine and rehabilitation. His extensive training allows him to use a multidisciplinary, research-based, and opioid-sparing approach to address a variety of painful disorders. Dr. Marcolina has particular expertise in comprehensive spine and musculoskeletal care, including advanced treatment options, such as spinal cord stimulation, regenerative medicine, and minimally invasive interventions. Leveraging the latest techniques, Dr. Marcolina is dedicated to delivering compassionate care and developing personalized treatment plans to optimize the overall health and function of his patients.
Originally from the Greater Chicago Area, Dr. Marcolina received his Bachelor of Science degree in human physiology at the University of Iowa. He subsequently returned to Chicagoland and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University – Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Marcolina completed a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he served as the inaugural research and development chief resident and was elected the senior resident of the year. After his residency, Dr. Marcolina completed his ACGME-accredited interventional pain medicine fellowship at the University of California Davis Medical Center, where he was awarded the Gary Collins Memorial Teaching Fellow of the Year due to his commitment to education and excellent patient care.
Dr. Marcolina is affiliated with both Holland Hospital and Corewell Health Zeeland Hospital. He is currently accepting new patients.
