My cat had bitten me, almost invisible. My primary doctor was gone for the week, so I went to Urgent Care. Believed all was okay, but I felt pain in my thigh where Dr. John Swartz had upgraded the ends of the bones. I called, and he met me midway in Hudsonville with a huge syringe. When he extracted bloody liquid, he said that I needed surgery as soon as he got his team together for a 2-hour surgery. That’s when I learned titanium is porous. The bite infection had reached it & endangered all organs!! Surgery stretched to 6 hours, hospital release was on the 8th day, not the 2nd. It was almost biblical to go through blizzards, GR Trinity Infusion center 2:30 for 40 days, starting with hubby carrying me down outside steps to a wheelchair, and much later, able to take steps. Dr.mSwartz and team SAVED MY LIFE and enabled me to celebrate my 80th birthday with my children from L.A. and New Hampshire, during a long recovery. I am truly blessed and grateful to him.
