My Comeback Story: Vicki H.

My cat had bitten me, almost invisible. My primary doctor was gone for the week, so I went to Urgent Care. Believed all was okay, but I felt pain in my thigh where Dr. John Swartz had upgraded the ends of the bones. I called, and he met me midway in Hudsonville with a huge syringe. When he extracted bloody liquid, he said that I needed surgery as soon as he got his team together for a 2-hour surgery. That’s when I learned titanium is porous. The bite infection had reached it & endangered all organs!! Surgery stretched to 6 hours, hospital release was on the 8th day, not the 2nd. It was almost biblical to go through blizzards, GR Trinity Infusion center 2:30 for 40 days, starting with hubby carrying me down outside steps to a wheelchair, and much later, able to take steps. Dr. Swartz and team SAVED MY LIFE and enabled me to celebrate my 80th birthday with my children from L.A. and New Hampshire, during a long recovery. I am truly blessed and grateful to him.
