Matt received his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Hope College in 2010. During his time there, and immediately following graduation, he worked closely with Holland Hospital Rehabilitation Services where he developed a passion for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. Before specializing in orthopedics, Matt worked in urgent care where he was able to advance his skills and abilities in a wide range of ailments. In 2015, Matt graduated from Grand Valley State University with a master of physician assistant science degree.
An avid outdoorsman, Matt participates in many of the activities that are available in West Michigan, including golf, soccer, biking and even fine woodworking. He also enjoyed working with Kids on the Run, a local volunteer program that helps promote family fitness and health.
