Hip and Knee Reconstruction Specialist

Dr. Swartz specializes in both primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, as well as joint preserving procedures such as knee arthroscopy and osteotomy. Also a specialist in general orthopaedic surgery, he uses the newest techniques and leading edge technologies to treat patients. Dr. Swartz centers his practice on providing advanced conservative and surgical care for hip and knee disorders. After earning his bachelor's degree in biology from Hope College in 2004, Dr. Swartz went on to receive his D.O. from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009. He completed a five-year orthopaedic surgery residency at Michigan State University, St. John Oakland Hospital, followed by a one-year fellowship in adult reconstruction at Desert Orthopedic Center in Nevada, under the direction of Todd Swanson, M.D. Dr. Swartz grew up in Richmond, Michigan and is pleased to be here in West Michigan, with his family.
